As an “extended workbench”, Hetterich Product Design supports Versuni Design Team in developing Saeco’s Semi Automatica. The Automatica is a return to Saeco’s origins, once again bringing the barista experience into the home. To tap into the coffee bar experience, we focused on two major functions: grinding fresh beans and brewing coffee. That said, the real beauty of the Semi Automatica lies in its ability to help users feel in control of the coffee making process, just like a barista, while simultaneously guiding them through every step. The Saeco Semi-Automatica Deluxe won both IF- and Red-Dot Designward 2023
